Schnittker Stable joins USTA/Museum Job Fair lineup

from Harness Racing Communications, a division of the USTA

Freehold, NJ — The Ray Schnittker Stable, home of last year’s Hambletonian winner Deweycheatumnhowe, has joined the list of potential employers at the Equine Job Fair, to be held Wednesday, April 29, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Harness Racing Museum.

The Museum is at 240 Main Street in Goshen, New York, directly adjacent to Historic Track, where Schnittker is stabled.

In addition to the Schnittker Stable, the Mark Ford Stable will also have a representative to speak with job seekers and collect resumes, as will Blue Chip Farm and Hanover Shoe Farms.

The job fair is open at no cost to the first 20 potential employers who are either USTA or Museum members and request a spot at the fair. Employers who are not members can join prior to participation. Each employer will be given a six foot table and the opportunity to collect resumes and speak with potential employees. Employers need not have immediate personnel needs to participate. They can have any kind of employment opportunity, current or future, seasonal, part time or permanent.

The event is free for job seekers, who are asked to bring 25 copies of their resume to be prepared to meet potential employers. Those who do not have a prepared resume will be offered assistance in completing a standard application detailing horse experience and provided with copies.

For more information or to request a table at the job fair, contact Katie Vermilyea, Education Coordinator, at hrmlibrary2@gmail.com or call (845) 294-6330.
