Columbus, OH — Scioto Downs has canceled its Thursday night (June 28) racing card because of extreme heat conditions. Temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees in central Ohio today.

Racing will continue, as scheduled, on Friday and Saturday evenings with post times at 6:30 p.m.

Next week Scioto will start racing with a matinee card on July 4 with post time at 1 p.m. Entries for Wednesday’s races will be drawn this Saturday (June 30). After the holiday program, racing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday next week will be at 6:30 p.m.
