Columbus, OH — Starting with the Friday draw for the Tuesday (Aug. 31) card, Eldorado Scioto Downs is announcing an across the board purse increase for the remainder of the season.

“We’ve looked at the purse account with the OHHA and together we have agreed that purses can be raised,” said Jason Roth, director of racing. “Our $6,000 claimers will see an increase of $1,000 for their purses while the Opens will now go for upwards of $25,000.”

Scioto has also added two live race nights to the schedule. The first will be Labor Day (Sept. 6) and the second added day will be Tuesday (Sept. 14).

The last three weeks of racing at Eldorado Scioto Downs will each have five live racing dates: Aug 31.-Sept. 4; Sept. 6 and Sept. 8-11; Sept. 14-18. First post for all cards, including Labor Day, will be at 6:15 p.m.
