Stacy Cahill has been named the 2013 Lady Pace honoree.

The central Ohio native will be honored in winner’s circle ceremonies on Jug Day afternoon at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

Cahill practically grew up on the backstretch of the racetrack as her parents, Todd and Dorothy Christy, trained horses for decades. She has worked in just about every area of track management — clerk, charter, mutuel clerk and race secretary. Cahill served as assistant race secretary for the Delaware County Fair from 2000–2003. In 2013, Cahill was elected as a District 1 director for the United States Trotting Association.

“The Little Brown Jug is such a special event and I am touched to be named the Lady Pace honoree,” noted Cahill. “I am proud to be a part of the rejuvenation of the sport within the state of Ohio.”
