Columbus, OH — As Eldorado Scioto Downs prepares to open on Tuesday (May 7), the new purse request along with the direct deposit form is on the Eldorado Scioto Downs website for horsemen to fill out and return.

In making this a smooth process, it’s encouraged that owners, trainers, and drivers turn in their purse request early as a pre-authorization will take place that could take up to seven days. In preparation for the season and to not delay any purse money, purse requests or questions can be emailed to the horsemen’s bookkeeper at bookkeeper@sciotodowns.com, faxed to 614.295.8871 or dropped off in the race office.

Eldorado Scioto Downs will once again host the Ohio State Fair on August 1st, 2nd and 3rd for 2-and-3 year-old trotters and pacers. Nominations were due for the estimated $1 million Ohio State Fair stakes on March 15 and now can be found on the Eldorado Scioto Downs website. Any questions concerning the Ohio State Fair stakes can be directed to the race office at 614.295.4668.

Eldorado Scioto Downs will be racing for over $15 million in purses for the 2019 racing season. Racing will be held at over this oval Tuesdays-Saturdays. Wednesday through Saturday post times will be at 6:30 p.m. (EST) while Tuesday and special holiday cards will start at 2 p.m.
