Scioto Downs to feature Pro Am and the People’s Pacer

Columbus, OH – On Thursday (Aug. 8), Scioto Downs will host the second annual Pro Am event as there will be two teams going head-to-head for charity. Each team will be made up of two pro drivers and four amateurs.

Team one will consist of Chris Page and Brett Miller as the pros with amateurs Steve Oldford, Mariah Wright, George Bonomo and Kelly Walker.

The second team will include amateurs Michelle Ruvola, Bob Troyer, Alesha Binkley, Gregg Keidel and Dein Spriggs along with the two pros, Josh Sutton and Dan Noble.

This three-race showdown will showcase the talents of amateur drivers against some of Ohio’s finest drivers.

In the second race, the Billings amateur drivers will be featured as seven of them (Oldford, Binkley, Trover, Keidel, Spriggs, Davis and Bonomo) will go head-to-head against each other. Ruvola’s horse has been scratched.

On Saturday (Aug. 10), the People’s Pacer is back where this week’s morning line favorite is Tookadiveoffdipper. So far this season, the people’s pacer has earned $53,360 and fans that have showed up for more than three-quarters of the People’s Pacer starts will share 10 percent of the earnings. The People’s Pacer is brought to the fans by Scioto Downs and the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association.

First post time both nights will be 6:30 p.m.
