Columbus, OH — Earlier this summer when a dangerous heat wave settled over central Ohio, Scioto Downs canceled race programs for the safety of the horses and people.

Two additional race dates, Sept. 13-14, have been added to the 2012 Scioto season to compensate for the cancellations.

Scioto had previously planned to close on Saturday (Sept. 8) when the track hosts Ohio Super Night.
