Dover, DE — Despite racing on only two days’ rest, Scirocco Rob dominated in the $20,000 Open Trot on Tuesday night (Dec. 1) at Dover Downs.

Tim Tetrick hustled Scirocco Rob to the front from his assigned outside post seven, while No Drama Please (Corey Callahan) followed in pursuit and secured the pocket. Scirocco Rob set fractions of :27.1, :56.1 and 1:24.4 and won by a measured length in 1:53.1 as the 1-2 favorite. No Drama Please finished second from the pocket, and Bluebird Jesse (Allan Davis) finished a ground-saving third.

Scirocco Rob, a 5-year-old Explosive Matter gelding, is trained by Mark Silva for owners Lewis and Kathleen Whitaker.
