SD Watch Me Now takes feature at Vernon

Vernon, NY – SD Watch Me Now (Lee Morris) charged late to capture the $7,000 featured pace at Vernon Downs on Friday (Oct. 13).

Dowahs Boy (John MacDonald) led to the first quarter in :27.2. He used a :28.3 second quarter to be first to the half in :56. He continued to control things leading to three-quarters in 1:24.3.

As they made the turn for home, Lyons Night Hawk (Jimmy Whittemore) popped the pocket and challenged for the lead. SD Watch Me Now ($5.20) came flying down the lane and blew right on by to win easily in 1:53. Road Ready Wes (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) came up to finish second. Dowahs Boy had to settle for third.

SD Watch Me Now is a 5-year-old gelding by Wind Me Up. He is owned by Forward Step LLC. and trained by Morris. It was his fifth win this season. He now owns 13 career victories.

Barton Dalious drove three winners on the card. John MacDonald had a driving double. David Dewhurst had a training double.
