Sears dominates weekend card at Yonkers

From SOA of NY

Yonkers, NY — As racing heats up at Yonkers Raceway, so does veteran driver Brian Sears.

After electing to race at Yonkers on a full time basis, at least for the present, the talented Sears started out the 2013 meet with an unusual 0-10 cold streak. During the second weekend of the meet, however, Sears rewarded all of those who loyally backed him. Brian bagged five winners on Friday’s card, with payouts ranging from $3.20 (Kid Carson) to $81.00 (Frontierpan), proving that he is a ‘value for money’ driver despite the odds.

On Saturday evening, both Sears and George Brennan were hot and getting hotter. Brennan stepped up with four winners, while Sears repeated, bagging another five with payoffs ranging from $5.00 (Macraider N) to $16.40 (Defiance N) proving once again that there is presently good value for the money with Brian Sears. All in all, Sears and Brennan took an amazing three quarters of the Saturday night card.

Sears drives 11 and Brennan drives 12 on the Monday opener for Yonkers’ week three. Of course, they are but two members of the deep, talented driver colony that compete year ’round on Yonkers 5 nights a week schedule.
