See The Wind held off Rockn Stein to capture the Pink Ribbon Open Trot at Hollywood Dayton Raceway on Saturday.

The second annual Pink Ribbon Trot was part of a day-long effort at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway to raise funds to benefit The Breast Cancer Foundation of Dayton. Activities included a 5K run/walk on the five-eighths mile race track in the morning, the sale of Pink Ribbon Trot t-shirts, and numerous silent auction items available for bidding in the racing grandstand.

Driver Chris Page sent the Ron Burke-trainee directly to the front when the Mike Woebkenberg mobile starting gate opened its wings. After sailing unchallenged through fractions of :27.1, :56.2 and 1:25, the 5-year-old son of Deweycheatumnhowe was able to fend off the late charge of Rockn Stien (Josh Sutton) by a long neck to garner his second win in a dozen seasonal starts. Parkhill Lancelot (Randy Tharps) was also closing well in the stretch to finish third in the full field.

Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC co-own See The Wind, who banked almost $200,000 as a juvenile stakes colt, and has added almost $75,000 over the last two seasons.
