Selena makes a successful return to Saratoga

by Mike Sardella, for Saratoga Casino and Raceway

Saratoga, NY — Selena (Anythings Possible-Twenty One Bee) made her return to Saratoga a winning one on Wednesday (April 1) afternoon. The Heidi Rohr-trained trotter set her lifetime mark at the Spa late last season with a 1:57.1 score and wasted no time returning to the Saratoga Casino and Raceway winner’s circle after a 1:58 victory for driver Stephane Bouchard.

Selena had two winning qualifiers as preps for Wednesday’s win which was one of three on the card for last year’s leading trainer Heidi Rohr. Selena returned $9.10 to win while besting longshot Gliding To Glory (Austin Siegelman) who was the runner-up and Duluth (Jim Devaux) who earned the show spot.

Live racing continues on Thursday at Saratoga with another twilight race card beginning at 4 p.m.
