Northville, MI — A Mini-Series for Michigan-bred or sired horses will held at Northville Downs during September, 2015. Legs will be conducted on Friday and Saturday nights starting September 11 and concluding on Friday evening September 25.

Northville es for the entire series of minis are expected to total in the vicinity of $300,000 and classes are available for almost every gait, gender and ability level of horses. Best of all is the value in these races. There is no nomination fee to enter the series and purses are competitive with any track in North America on a comparative basis.

MINI-SERIES GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. All races comply with the rules of the State of Michigan, Northville Downs and the Michigan Gaming Control Board

2. All horses must meet the qualifying standards of Northville Downs

3. The Mini Series are restricted to Michigan Sired or Michigan Bred trotters and pacers as defined by the Michigan Department of Agriculture

4. If more than ten are entered, the event will be divided into divisions

5. All events are at one mile

6. If a leg is canceled due to weather, an act of God, or any other reason, all entrants receive one point and the purse will be added to the final.

7. The top nine point winners entered will be in the Final. In case of a tie for ninth a draw by lot will determine who will race and who will be Also Eligible. Points awarded as follows: 1st-50 points, 2nd -25 points, 3rd-12 points, 4th-8 points, 5th-5 points, 6-4points, 7th-3points, 8th -2 points and 9th -1 point.

8. Northville Downs reserves the right to reject any entries and return entry fees, declare off any event if conditions warrant and cancel a leg of any event not filling satisfactorily.

9. Northville reserves the right to cancel these Mini-Series for any reason that Northville Downs determines and to return the entry fees.

10. Any horse that is qualified at the beginning of the Mini-Series and races exclusively in the Mini-Series is considered qualified unless determined by the judges or vet to be unable to race.

11. Post Positions will be drawn by lot – top two point getters will be allowed to draw posts 1-4 for the final.

12. A good line within forty-five days is necessary and a horse must be qualified by Northville Down’s standards to enter.

13. MHHA Membership – Any Horseman without current membership in the Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association must pay $50 insurance and administration fee prior to racing at Northville Downs in 2015. The $50 fee covers the entire 2015 meet.

14. All declarations will be taken by Northville Downs.

15. There is no nomination fee; however, the standard starting fee will be due.

16. Northville Downs reserves the right to card a consolation event the night of the Final but no horse eligible for the Final may enter the consolations instead.
