Cranbury, NJ — The $726,000 (C$784,000) Breeders Crown Trot, which is also the fifth leg in the World Cup Trot series, drew just five entries and two supplements for a field of seven. The Breeders Crown Trot is one of four open events worth $1.8 million set for Saturday, September 1, at Mohawk Raceway in Campbellville, Ontario.

Nat Ray winner Corleone Kosmos and runner up Equinox Bi, who supplemented for $75,000, will square off again. They will be joined by defending Crown champ Sand Vic, who has been off his game of late, but manages to produce a big effort when necessary, and Vivid Photo, the 2005 Hambletonian champion whose earnings top the field at $2.5 million.

The 7-year-old Swedish mare Giant Diablo was also supplemented to the event. It will be the first time a mare has opted to race against the males since the Breeders Crown Mare Trot event was reinstated in 2004.

The complete field in alphabetical order is as follows: Corleone Kosmos, Equinox Bi (S), Giant Diablo (S), Med Vac, Muscles Marinara, Sand Vic and Vivid Photo.

The $1.8 million Breeders Crown events will be raced on a stakes-laden card that includes the Metro Pace and She’s A Great Lady finals.
