Columbus, OH — Each December issue, Hoof Beats publishes “Greener Pastures,” obituaries on prominent horses who have died in the previous 12 months, and a list of all deceased horses reported to the USTA.

We want to feature some lesser-known equine friends who died in 2013-2014, and invite those people who knew them best to share their stories.

To have your story considered for inclusion in Greener Pastures, it must relate to a horse who died between October 2013 and October 2014, and can be no longer than 500 words. E-mail your articles by Monday (Oct. 13) to hoofbeats@ustrotting.com, with “GREENER PASTURES” in the subject heading. Photos are encouraged, but will not be returned.
