Showdown set for 2nd leg of Lifetime Dream Series

TORONTO, January 12, 2006 – All of the winners from the first leg of the Lifetime Dream Series have drawn into the same division Monday evening, as three C$20,000 second leg splits will highlight Race Night on The Score from Woodbine. A series for four-year-old trotting mares that were non-winners of $100,000 as of October 31, 2005, the Lifetime Dream’s second leg divisions have been carded as races two (8:02 p.m.), four (8:44 p.m.) and six (9:26 p.m.) on the 10-dash program, which gets underway at 7:40 p.m.

The C$60,900 (estimated) final is scheduled for January 23.

Race Night on The Score goes to air nationally in Canada on The Score Television Network at 7:30 p.m. before wrapping up at 10:00 p.m.

Laughing Louder (PP2, Roger Mayotte), Chelemark Twiggy (PP5, Paul MacDonell) and Ferrari OF (PP8, Mario Baillargeon) – all of whom were victorious in the opening leg – will lock horns in the first split.

Laughing Louder, a Muscles Yankee bay trained by Brad Maxwell, was seventh at the half-mile pole in her division last week before going first-over on the final turn and catching the leaders. In what was her WEG circuit debut, the Bluestone Farms-owned mare would eventually trot away from her foes and record a 2 ¼-length margin of victory in 1:56.3.

Laughing Louder has finished on the board in three of her last six starts, which includes a dash where she made a break of stride off the gate and was subsequently distanced.

Last week, sent off at double-digit odds for her second consecutive race, Chelemark Twiggy shook loose in the lane after a pocket trip and recorded a
2 ½-length margin of victory in a life’s best clocking of 1:58.1. Owned by Woodstock, Ontario’s Douglas Millard and trained by Ron O’Neill, the daughter of Angus Hall has finished on the board in five of her last six starts.

Ferrari OF, trained by Ben Wallace and driven by Mario Baillargeon for Kenneth Jackson of Lexington, Kentucky, tallied a one-length victory in
1:59.2 while racing as the favorite in her division last week. The clocking was a new life’s mark for the daughter of Credit Winner after sitting fourth throughout the majority of the mile.

The second and third divisions look like they are open for the taking.

In the second split, Royal Missy (PP1, Paul MacKenzie) has drawn the rail for trainer Janice Hubbard. The daughter of Royal Strength compiled an enviable record last year as a three-year-old (10-3-1 from 17 starts), but finished fifth, beaten 6 ½ lengths, pacing in 1:57.4, in the opening leg.

Hawaiian Lei (PP5, Ron Waples) and Enclosed (PP7, Luc Ouellette) are other notable in the second leg field who have gone off at long odds in their past couple of starts.

Givemearing (PP1, Randy Waples), Proud Passion (PP6, Rick Zeron) and Sensual Hall (PP8, Tony Kerwood) are standouts in the third division who failed to get the job done last week.
