Showherthemoney prevails in Industrial Highway

Chester, PA — John Cancelliere’s Showherthemoney ($7.00) outlasted a stiff challenge from odds-on favorite Not Enough in their second round $25,000 division of the Industrial Highway series on Tuesday (Dec. 7) at Harrah’s Chester, prevailing by a neck in 1:53 after battling neck-and-neck for the last three-eighths of a mile.

David Miller drove the 4-year-old Cam’s Card Shark mare, who made her second start for new trainer Thomas Cancelliere. Initially, she settled in a stalking position, allowing Not Enough (Tim Tetrick) to set the pace through a :27.3 quarter and a :57.3 half-mile. On the backstretch, the plucky Showherthemoney began her pursuit, angling two-wide and working her way to the lead past a 1:25 three-quarter split, but unable to clear. Despite a most determined Not Enough countering Showherthemoney’s every move, Showherthemoney prevailed by a neck over Not Enough, with Fleeting Flirt N (Jonathan Roberts) taking show honors.

Prohibitive 1-9 favorites Shacked Up (Eric Goodell) and Billie Bluechip (Tim Tetrick) shared the 1:52 speed mark for the day’s Industrial Highway divisions, while Dawn’s Legacy (Jonathan Roberts) was victorious in 1:53.1.

Syenite ($2.10) proved most dominant in the Exit 8 trotting series, taking his $20,000 second round division in a handy 1:55.1 in rein to Tim Tetrick.

Pembroke Heat Wave ($7.60) was fastest of three Flower Street divisions, trotting a pillar-to-post 1:56.1 mile under Yannick Gingras.

Road to Riches Late Closing action continues on Wednesday (Dec. 8) afternoon at Harrah’s Chester, with first post at 12:45 p.m. (EST).
