Sign up for free equine disease alerts

Freehold, NJ — Horsemen and women can get real time, accurate information about developing equine health threats by subscribing to a free email alert system from the national Equine Disease Communications Center.

The center collects and verifies information about equine infectious diseases from state animal and federal animal health officials and relays that information to those caring for horses via an email system. Text message alerts are expected to be provided in the future.

The goal of the EDCC is to provide disease outbreak information, including bio security measures, and to mitigate and prevent the spread of disease and the negative economic impact that accompanies it.
