Silent auction for breedings to benefit Defiance County horsemen

Edgerton, OH — The Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association is holding a silent auction for breedings to numerous stallions. There are currently seven Ohio pacing stallions, three Ohio trotting stallions, and two Indiana pacing stallions in the auction.

The pacing stallions A Stud Named Sue (Laag-Rule Model-Bruce Gimble) and Indian Fever (Nobleland Sam-Hey Lady-Handsome Sum) both stand at the Bill Webb Farm of Defiance, Ohio. The pacing stallions Camlucks Dominator (Camluck-Tigress B-Tyler B), Oaks Enforcer (Pacific Rocket-Yankee Delray-Beach Towel), Premier On Broadway (Personal Power-Broadway Terry-Broadway Express), and Strong Player (Artsplace-Sassy Towner-Big Towner) all stand at Bear Creek Stables of Middlefield, Ohio. The final Ohio pacing stallion is Mantacular (Western Hanover-Between Two Fires-Bret Hanover). Mantacular stands at Midland Acres of Bloomingburg, Ohio.

The trotting stallion Iron Duke (Muscles Yankee-Witching Wind-Cumin) stands at Sunrise Stable of Garrettsville, Ohio. The trotting stallion Royal Palm (Pine Chip-Royal Jewel-Royal Prestige) stands at the Andrew Hershberger Farm of Howard, Ohio. The final Ohio trotting stallion is Touchdown Town (Muscles Yankee-Graceful Touch-Pine Chip). Touchdown Town stands at Crystal Springs Farm of Millersburg, Ohio.

The pacing stallion Brother Lost Soul (Rocknroll Hanover-Stienam’s Girl-Nihilator) stands at Chapel Ridge Farm of Grabill, Ind. The other Indiana pacing stallion is Copeland Comet (Run The Table-Heritage-Most Happy Fella). Copeland Comet stands at A and E Farm of Monroe, Ind.

Bids will be taken on all stallions until 7 p.m. on Friday (March 30).

At that time, the person with the second-highest bid will have a chance to raise his or her bid. The bidding will continue between the two highest bidders until one drops out. Should there be any stallions receiving no bids prior to 7 p.m. on March 30, silent bids on those stallions will be taken at the Association’s Reverse Raffle on Saturday (March 31).
