Sintra, Trump Nation scratched from Camluck Classic

London, ON — Friday night’s (May 31) Camluck Classic Invitational at The Raceway at Western Fair District has been reduced to a field of six with the scratches Friday morning of both Sintra and Trump Nation.

Sintra, who was the 3-1 third choice in the race from post five, came up with a foot injury this week. His connections were hopeful he would be good enough to go but ultimately made the difficult decision to withdraw the star pacer.

Longshot Trump Nation, who drew post seven, spiked a temperature according to his connections and did not make the trip to Canada.

The remaining six horses will compete for a C$157,000 purse with Confederation Cup winner Done Well installed as the 7-5 morning line choice from post two.

The Camluck Classic program gets underway Friday night at 6:55 p.m. and the Camluck Classic goes as the final race on the 12-race program. The race will also be part of the Facebook Live broadcast, sponsored by COSA, which gets underway at 10:30 p.m. (EDT).
