by Mike Wandishin, publicity director, Bluegrass Downs

Paducah, KY — Sir Globalop Z Tam, a winner of more than $250,000 lifetime, heads the Friday night (June 8) card at Bluegrass Downs as he goes for win number 25 lifetime in the third race.

He’ll leave from the five post for trainer Jim Brinson and owner Mary Katz.

He faces a tough group this week including the always solid Cole Diddy (TBA) leaving from the seven post and a winner of $388,801 and 38 races lifetime. KRS Cruisier has post two, moves up in class after a win and draws the two hole. Smithers (Wyatt Avenatti) gets the rail and has raced well in both starts here. Always Present hails from Harley Emerson’s barn and is listed to be driven by leading driver Randy Crisler and showed improvement in his second start of the year and will leave from post three. River Runs Thru It (Wyatt Avenatti) starts from post four and Canadian Mint (Jamaal Denson) has the six hole in this wide open event.

First post for the five race card will be 6 p.m.

Just a reminder that the facility will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday for simulcast of the Belmont Stakes.
