Slick Tony and Home’n Dry take Monday features at Rosecroft Raceway

Ft. Washington, MD — Outside post positions did not hinder Slick Tony or Home’n Dry who took the Monday night (Oct. 28) features at Rosecroft Raceway.

In the $11,750 pacing feature, Slick Tony ($2.40) was stretched out by Allie’s Finale who led the field to the opening quarter in :26.2. From there, driver Russell Foster and the 4-year-old son of No Spin Zone rolled to a win in 1:50.3. It was the 14th win of the year for Slick Tony who is owned, trained and bred by George Leager. His lifetime line now stands at an impressive 67-32-11-6 and earnings of $553,103.

In the $10,000 trotting feature, favorite Home’n Dry ($7.20) left well from post eight for driver Tyler Davis and took the field coast to coast, holding off a fast closing What That Is in 1:54.1. The 7-year-old altered son of Credit Winner is owned by Peter Paul Venturini and trained by Brian Malone. It was a seasonal mark and fifth win in 16 starts this year for the winner.

Frank Milby won a pair of races on the night with trotter Windsun Cobra ($4.60) and claiming pacer Hey Dali ($18.20).

Foster picked up a second victory on the night with Beach Art ($2.40).

Sean Bier won an upper level conditioned event with Cash Is King ($5.00) who won for the sixth time this year.

Sword Ofthe Spirit ($23.60) won for a second straight start as he sizzled a conditioned field in 1:51.1 for Jonathan Roberts. Lewis Nunes trains for owner-breeder Lomangino Standardbreds.
