East Rutherford, NJ — Trond Smedshammer will be the In The Sulky guest Thursday night (May 12) on the Meadowlands Racetrack pre-game show — if he is not catching an airplane to his native Norway that evening.

Smedshammer, who is planning to race Arch Madness in the Oslo Grand Prix on Sunday, May 15, has had issues in getting his visa updated and approved by the Norwegian government.

“I could fly there but I don’t know if I could fly back, which is a chance I can’t take,” the driver-trainer said. “We’ve pushed as hard as we can push, but haven’t heard anything yet. If we can get it taken care of, I’ll be on a plane Thursday to Norway. If not, I’ll be at the Meadowlands on Thursday night.”
