So You De Vie wins NJSS final at Freehold

Trenton, NJ — So You De Vie and driver George Brennan were content to sit in the pocket until the stretch and then overtook Littlemscantbwrong to win the $100,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Championship Final for 3-year-old trotting fillies on Thursday (Sept. 10) at Freehold Raceway.

So You De Vie won the NJSS final in 1:58.4.
The daughter of Yankee Glide trotted the mile in 1:58.4, winning by 1-3/4 lengths over trainer-driver Per Henriksen and Littlemscantbwrong, also sired by Yankee Glide. Finishing third was Susquehanna Belle (Windsong’s Legacy).
With the $50,000 winner’s share of the purse, So You De Vie more than doubled her 2009 purse earnings to $94,516 and $99,856 for her career. It was her third victory in 12 starts this year for the Joie De Vie Farm. The winning trainer was Oyvind Hegdal.
