SOA of NY recognizes George Brennan on his 11,000th win

Yonkers, NY — On June 30, George Brennan drove second favorite Dibaba N, trained by Jose Godinez, to victory at Yonkers Raceway in race five to pick up career win number 11,000.

He became only the 11th North American driver to reach 11,000 career wins.

Brennan’s first drive was in 1981. In his illustrious career, he has 20 years with more than 2,000 drives with a career high in 2010 with 3,045 drives. His horses have earned nearly $188 million (eighth all-time) on 66,080 drives and he has achieved $5 million in earnings annually 18 times with a career best in 2011 with $14.5 million. His career high in wins came in 2011 with 753.

Aug. 6, 2011: Who could forget that day when Brennan won the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks with Bold And Fresh and then 35 minutes later won the $1.5 million Hambletonian with Broad Bahn.

This year at Yonkers, he is third in drives with 825, second in wins with 141 and second in earnings with $2.3 million.
