For the first time ever, Somebeachsomewhere had a winner in Europe — and it was also a first time winner on the trot.
At Solvalla, Sweden the 3-year-old filly Arvie Hanover, driven by Erik Adielsson, won a 1-5/16th mile trotting event easily in 2:00.4f (mile rate).
Arvie Hanover was sold in Harrisburg last year to Swedish trainer Svante Baath for $20,000. Baath has raced her four times, but this was the first win.
The plan is to race Arvie Hanover and afterwards use her as a broodmare in Sweden.
Hanover-bred Arvie Hanover was sold for $60,000 as a yearling. She raced five times as a 2-year-old and her best race time was 1:56.1. She earned $1,336.
So far she has raced four times and has earned $6,700 this year in Sweden.
