Somebodyslilly hangs on in Dayton distaff

Dayton, OH — Indiana invader Somebodyslilly and driver LeWayne Miller earned a hard-fought 1:52.1 victory in Hollywood Dayton’s $25,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace on Thursday (Dec. 22).

After cutting the entire mile, the 5-year-old daughter of Time To Roll barely held off Marloe Hanover (Brett Miller) and Alexa Skye (Mitch Cushing), stablemates in the Virgil Morgan Jr. barn, in a thrilling stretch battle.

Racing at Dayton has been canceled for Friday (Dec. 23) due to an impending winter storm.

The 2022 Hollywood Dayton meet will conclude with five consecutive programs from Monday (Dec. 26) through Friday (Dec. 30). Daily post time is 4 p.m.
