Sophomore filly trotters in Ohio Sires Stakes action Friday at Eldorado Scioto Downs

Grove City, OH — Ten 3-year-old filly trotters will square off in the second leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes Friday (June 17) at Eldorado Scioto Downs. A purse of $75,000 will be on the line.

Gabbys C Note and Kirsi Dream will look to remain undefeated in OSS action this year. The two were first leg winners at Miami Valley Gaming on March 4.

Aaron Merriman will drive Gabbys C Note for trainer Chris Beaver. The daughter of Triumphant Caviar was an easy winner in the first leg. She has won three of four this year for the ownership group of Beaver, Johanna Beaver, and Steve Zeehandelar. Gabbys C Note has eight wins in 11 lifetime starts with earnings of $301,900.

Kirsi Dream used a strong stretch run to claim victory in the first leg. Trainer Miles Wollam will have Tony Hall in the bike. The daughter of Uncle Peter is owned by Dark Horse Farm and has won three of five this year, earning $42,490.

Beaver will also start La Belle Riviere with Trevor Smith driving. The Triumphant Caviar filly will look for her fifth win of the year.

Also with two starters in the field is trainer Ron Burke. Burke will send out Criquette Hall, the daughter of Cash Hall, and What The Hill filly Be My Baby Now. Criquette Hall has four wins in eight starts this year, while Be My Baby Now has started twice this year and has one win.

Also in the field is Toes In The Water who has hit the board in all six starts this year, winning two, including the James Hackett Memorial at Miami Valley. Toes In The Water will start from the rail for trainer Ty Loy, who co-owns the Long Tom filly with Roger Morlock.

Friday’s first race post time at Eldorado Scioto Downs is 3:15 p.m.
