Soto repeats at Harrington; Cole wins four

Harrington, DE — Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Stephen Iaquinta’s Soto ($4.20, Art Stafford Jr.) was a 1:52.4 winner in the $11,000 Open II Pace Monday (Oct. 1) at Harrington Raceway.

Soto held off a late-lunging Daiymir at the winning post in Monday’s featured pace at Harrington Raceway.
Soto dictated the tempo and held off the pocket-sitting Daiymir for a commanding win. Hi Sir finished third.
It was the second straight win for the 6-year-old Rock N Roll Heaven stallion and trainer Eric Ell. Soto’s win total, now 29, accompanies a healthy lifetime earnings tally in excess of $544,000.
Driver Mike Cole piloted four winners, Artifact Hanover ($3.00), Cowgurls Spirit ($2.20), Seventh Secret ($2.40) and Machamillion N ($3.00).
Live racing continues Monday through Wednesday through Oct. 24. Wednesday (Oct. 3) marks one of the richest programs of the season for Delaware harness racing as the 2-year-old Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) finals will be showcased.
