Albany, NY — The family of Jerry Sowash would like to thank all the horsemen and others from the harness racing community who showed an outpouring of support and caring following his death last week.

The family is thankful for the many prayers and flowers that were received in his memory. They are also truly appreciative for the generous donations sent to assist with funeral costs.

Mr. Sowash was a life-long horseman in Indiana and he treasured his many friends in the sport. Those friends supported him throughout his illness, allowing him to continue training horses — his passion — as long as he was able.

He died on Dec. 29 at the age of 55 and was laid to rest on Jan. 2.

The Sowash Family offers a special thank you again to the many friends who helped during this difficult time.
