Columbus, OH — Another big weekend is on tap for the U.S. Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering program and its affiliated tracks.

In addition to the usual guarantees at tracks such as Balmoral, Batavia, Maywood, the Meadowlands and the Red Mile, there will be special opportunities at Northfield Park and Harrah’s Chester.

Thanks to a $5,200 carryover, Northfield on Friday night (August 19) will offer a special $15,000 guaranteed Pick-5. The wager is available on races three through seven, with the first leg scheduled for 7:40 p.m., approximately. Free program pages, courtesy of TrackMaster, can be found here.

Harrah’s Chester hosts “Super Stakes Sunday” on August 21 and will offer a $15,000 guaranteed Pick-4 on races seven through 10, plus $25,000 guaranteed exactas on races nine through 11. Race 9 is the $350,000 Valley Forge, featuring undefeated See You At Peelers; Race 10 is the $500,000 The Colonial, with Hambletonian winner Broad Bahn; and Race 11 is the $500,000 Battle of the Brandywine, with Meadowlands Pace champ Roll With Joe.

Approximate post time for the first leg of the Pick-4 is 4:06 p.m. Free program pages for the Chester wagers, as well as all Strategic Wagering offerings, will be available on the USTA’s handicapping page.

The action actually gets an early start Thursday night with the weekly guaranteed $5,000 Pick-4 at Harrington Raceway, which resumed racing last Sunday after a six-week break. Harrington’s guaranteed Thursday Pick-4s are on races three through six, with the first leg slated for 6:10 p.m., approximately.
