SPHO-OH selects representatives

Columbus, OH — The Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of Ohio participates in demonstrations to show the versatility of the Standardbred at events throughout the year.

This Spring the group will be heading to Equine Affaire (Columbus, Ohio) April 10-14 and the Kentucky Horse Park (Lexington, Ky.) June 21-23 to showcase Standardbreds in Dressage, pleasure driving, Western, English, games, saddleseat, polo and of course, harness racing.

The SPHO-OH has scholarships available to potential new members of the group that covers the adoption fees of a Standardbred through New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program. They also sponsor several shows throughout the year at the Franklin (Hiliard) and Fairfield (Lancaster) County Fairgrounds, as well as at Cashman’s in Delaware. The first World Standardbred Show, coordinated by the group, will be held at Eden Park in Sunbury Oct. 5-6.
