EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – April 8, 2006 – Spirit Of A Shark [$6.00, $3.60, $2.60] set all the fractions and coasted to a length and a quarter victory in the featured fifth race, a $35,000 winners-over condition pace, on Saturday night at the Meadowlands.

Brian Sears posted his third winner of the night, guiding Spirit Of A Shark to his second consecutive victory. The five-year-old son of Cam’s Card Shark has four wins, two seconds and one third in eight starts this year.
Rob Roy Mattgregor [$3.60, $2.80] got up for second, and it was a length and three-quarters back to Pacific Renegade [$2.80] in third.
Spirit Of A Shark, trained by Ken Rucker, paced the mile in 1:50.3, well off his career best of 1:48.4 set in his last start on March 25.
The victory lifted his career totals to 13 wins, eight seconds and nine thirds from 57 starts and earnings of $320,410 for the New York-based partnership of Cliff Siegel of Staten Island, Herbert Siegel of Brooklyn, Lee Wasserman of Brooklyn and John Fodera of Staten Island.
