Harrington, DE — Four $20,000 divisions of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) for 3-year-old trotters went behind the gate Wednesday (June 14) at Harrington Raceway to complete their first elimination leg.

The first DSBF filly division went to Spoonful, who held off Luv Is Blind for her eighth career win in 2:00.2.

The first filly division went to Spoonful ($3.40, Les Givens), who held off Luv Is Blind for her eighth career win in 2:00.2. Gogh Cinorita was third. Trained by her driver, Spoonful, a daughter of Political Briefing, has won four of six starts this year.

The first division for colts and geldings went to pocket-sitting Master Kingpin ($5.20, Art Stafford Jr.) who out-kicked pacesetter Moonshine Lavec late for a 2:01.2 triumph. Yagot A Winner was third. The winner was sired by Master Lavec for owner/trainer Thomas Lail.

Donald Marine’s Political Energy ($6, Victor Kirby) broke her maiden in the second filly division with a 2:00.4 victory over A Chorus Line and Hashtag Hope. The Political Briefing filly capitalized on miscues from two others behind the gate and marched to a wire-to-wire win for trainer William Wyatt.

Ben Brooks’ Master Clave ($2.10, Ross Wolfenden) won the final division for colts and geldings in dominant fashion in 2:00.2. The Master Lavec gelding maintained a confident lead much of the mile and held off Command The Fire and Redneck Red for his ninth career win in 13 starts for trainer John Wilkerson.

It was one of four winners for Wolfenden.
