East Rutherford, NJ — On a cold and rainy Friday night (Dec. 16) at the Meadowlands, Dein Spriggs and Nicole DiCostanzo won their respective GSY Series pacing events for amateur drivers.

Dein Spriggs made his debut with his British pacer Ima Happy Fella GB a winning one, coming off the pace to win by two lengths in a mile timed in 1:55.3. Spriggs, along with Harmon Racing LLC and Billy Muggleston, own the 5-year-old gelding, who is trained by Rob Harmon.

In the other event, it was a no-doubt winner from start to finish as Nicole DiCostanzo went wire-to-wire aboard Sports Hero to win by three lengths in a miles timed in 1:53.4. She trains the 6-year-old gelding and shares ownership with Joseph Bongiorno LLC.
