Pinehurst, NC — The Spring matinee races will be held at Pinehurst Harness Track on Sunday (April 12).

The track, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, will celebrate its 100th anniversary this year.

During the matinee races, the historic Fair Barn will host a centennial exhibit filled with displays and photographs highlighting the rich history, traditions and significant milestones of the track. The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame will also have an exhibit in the Fair Barn.

Opening ceremonies begin at 1 p.m. and the first of eight races for 2-year-olds is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
