SRF meet and greet rescheduled for April 11

from the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

Millstone Township, NJ — Spring storms have forced the Standardbred Retirement Foundation’s meet and greet, originally scheduled for Friday (April 10), to reschedule to Saturday (April 11) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

All are welcome to visit and meet 40 of SRF’s 217 horses in its care, all waiting for loving adoptive homes. Several horses will be under saddle to demonstrate that the breed can compete with any other in every discipline and does so with a wonderfully quiet temperament.

The Rutgers University Equestrian team has been volunteering to prepare the horses along with other volunteers and staff for Saturday by grooming their winter coats, riding and prepping for the day.

SRF boards its horses at Walnridge Farm at 42 Arneytowns-Hornerstown Rd. in Cream Ridge and has its own entrance that is marked. The nearest well-known intersections are Rte. 539 and 537.
