SRF’s Elitlopp trip raffle is on gate

from the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

Millstone Twp., NJ— The celebrated Elitlopp in Sweden is one of harness racing’s largest events for those who love the sport of racing. This fabulous trip is a fundraiser for the Standardbred Retirement Foundation through its annual raffle, with tickets now available.

The trip begins with an airfare voucher valued to $1,500 and includes a five day-four night stay for two at a 4-star hotel in the heart of Stockholm, and includes a welcoming dinner and get together Thursday night; sightseeing on Friday and Saturday morning including a trip to Menhammer Stud Farm where many famous stallions have stood, and to the Elite Yearling Sale; entrance to the Solvalla Racetrack on Saturday and Sunday for the big race, and an English speaking tour guide during your entire stay.

The dates are Thursday-Sunday (May 25-May 28).

Raffle tickets are $25 each and funds raised will be used to provide hay and grain, medical, farrier care, rehabilitation, vaccinations, and other related needs for more than 200 trotters and pacers currently in SRF’s care, all in need of homes.

Tickets should have arrived by mail to all SRF’s supporters and are also available for purchase. The winning ticket will be drawn on April 20 at noon; the winner does not need to be present.

Help with selling tickets is also much appreciated. Please use the contact information noted.

SRF, now in its 28th year, is different, as the mission is dedicated to Standardbreds exclusively; young, aged, injured, neglected or abused; is the permanent home for 140 unwanted trotters and pacers; and provides lifetime follow-up so no horse is ever at risk again.

SRF asks for the support of all whose lives have been touched by these horses and racing, whether through the Elitlopp raffle, Win*Win program, horse sponsorship, planned giving, or through an endowment.
