SRF’s Prix d’Amerique trip up for grabs

from the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

Millstone Township, NJ — The celebrated Prix d’Amerique in Vincennes, France, one of harness racing’s most prestigious events, is a dream destination for those who love the sport of harness racing. Offered through an annual raffle to benefit the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, past winners rave about it and say, “It is a must ‘go to’ trip!”

This fabulous trip includes a five day, four night stay for two at a 4-star hotel in the heart of the Montmartre district in Paris, France, a welcoming “City of Lights” tour, a three-course French cuisine dinner, a tour of the Grobois Training Centre, entrance to the great Prix d’Amerique race and more.

Raffle tickets are $25 each and funds raised will be used for hay and grain, provide medical and farrier care, rehabilitation, vaccinations, and other related needs for more than 195 Standardbreds currently in SRF’s care.

SRF hasn’t just had their doors open to young, sound adoptable horses, their charity includes those in real need like old campaigners, those with limited physical ability, and others with years on their card. Being unattractive to adopters, nearly half of these horses are retired due to age or injury and are under the full care and expense of SRF for life. This is a huge expense for any charity.

Tickets should have arrived by mail to all SRF’s supporters and are also available for purchase by contacting admin@srfmail.com, or by phone at 732.446.4422. The winning ticket will be drawn at Showplace Farms in Millstone, N.J., on Dec. 14 at 12 noon; the winner does not need to be present. Help with selling tickets is also much appreciated. Please use the contact information noted.

For 25 years, SRF is the only organization solely dedicated to the Standardbred breed that provides full care for its horses for life if age or injuries prevent adoption.
