St. Patrick’s Day open house workshop at Museum

Goshen, NY — Before heading to the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Day Parade, join us at the Harness Racing Museum for our annual open house family workshop on Sunday (March 10) from 11 a.m.–1 p.m.

Children ages 3-12 will make lucky horseshoe hats and shakers to bring to the parade, fill shamrock candy boxes with golden chocolate treats and play holiday and horsey-themed games.

The entire family will enjoy cookies, cakes, tea and hot chocolate as well as a ride on the 3-D Harness Racing Simulator.

Cost is $5 per child and adults are free. No reservations and supplies are limited. After the workshop, stake out a spot in front of the Museum from which to watch the parade, beginning at 2 p.m., as it passes in front of the Museum. For more information, please call 845.294.6330.

Programs are made possible with support from the Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund. For further information about the Museum’s educational workshops or children’s birthday parties, please contact the Education Department at education@harnessmuseum.com or 845.294.6330.
