Stable architecture lecture and ornament workshop at the Harness Racing Museum

Goshen, NY — Enjoy the warmth of the season with the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame on Monday (Dec. 12) an afternoon of food and fun. In this, the Museum’s final lecture and workshop of 2016, curator Rebecca Howard will present a discussion of some of the unique architectural features of the Museum’s 1913 stable home and educator/artist Kristin Roberts will lead participants in creating a unique holiday ornament commemorating this iconic local treasure from 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m.

A feast of chicken parmesan and eggplant rollatini along with sides, soft drinks and dessert is included in the ticket price of $18 for Museum members and $20 for non-members. Craft supplies are included and participants will have the opportunity to take home their creations.

Reservations are required by Saturday (Dec. 10) and because of anticipated interest please call (845) 294-6330 early to secure your place at the table. The Museum, which is supported in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, as well as the United States Trotting Association, is currently offering free admission for walk-in visitors and $4.00/person for group docent-guided tours.
