Stakes horses qualify at Mohawk

by Greg Blanchard, WEG media

Campbellville, ON — A number of high profile performers were in action during qualifiers Thursday morning (May 27) at Mohawk Racetrack, including stakes winners Yursa Hanover and Siri Hanover.

Siri Hanover, a 3-year-old pacing daughter of Allamerican Native, took her contest in 1:55 while Yursa Hanover, a 4-year-old trotting daughter of Windong’s Legacy, finished second behind Slave Dream in 1:54.3.

WEG media caught up with the connections of both mares following their efforts and also talked with Ronnie MacLean who had his stable star, Zorgwijk Kingpin, out for a morning schooler in preparation for his first qualifier which is expected next week.
