Stand Forever dies at age 22

Findlay, OH — Hickory Lane Farm is sad to announce that Stand Forever (Dragon’s Lair-Niajet) died March 15, 2014, due to natural causes at age 22.

A fixture at Hickory Lane since 1997, Stand Forever was a productive sire in Ohio for more than 17 years. From 446 starters, he sired 264 in 2:00, 93 in 1:55 and 1 in 1:50, with his offspring earning more than $18 million.

His top performers included Dream Proof p,1:48.4 ($590,976), Perfect M Forever p,4,1:51.3f ($581,436), Talk Forever p,1:52.1 ($551,969) and the 2013 Ohio Sire Stake champion and 2-year-old colt pacer of the year, Chance I Might.

He was laid to rest at Hickory Lane Farm.
