The Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of New Jersey was the host of the event which was open for Standardbreds and their owners who were looking to lean more about how to re-train the former race horse.

A total of 18 riders signed up for the event and many spectators also came to audit and learn about the classic re-traning methods that Mr. Shapiro uses. He offered training help to all levels of Standardbreds, even some that were still racing, and some just freshly retired from the track, as well as seasoned show horses.

The Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of New Jersey is a non-profit organization that works and operates entirely on donations, and the clinic was made possible because of the outpouring of support the club has had this year from trainers/drivers and owners involved with the harness racing business.

The next event the organization is gearing up for is the National Standardbred show on August 21, held at the Horsepark of New Jersey, and the showbook can be viewed online at www.standardbredpleasurehorse.org.
