Standardbreds heading to Equine Affaire 2020

Columbus, OH — Ohio Standardbreds & Friends, in conjunction with the New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program, will conduct demonstrations on April 3 and 5 at Equine Affaire, which will be held at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Horses selected to participate in the “red, white and blue” theme this year are Brown Camo, Skiff, No Damage A, Armbros Revenge A, C Me Shine, Studs Hooligan, Ryter’s Bang, Little Harbor, Rose Run Luther, Brooklets Chrome, Silver Match, Power Lifter and Allamerican Legacy.

Will, one of OSAF’s youth participants, will be in the Wahl Demo Ring in the Celeste Center with his horse Chrome on April 3 at 11:45 a.m. to talk about Standardbreds and why they make great riding partners for youth as well as adults.

Horses and riders will perform in Taft Coliseum on April 5 at 11:15 a.m. and in the Voinovich Livestock and Trade Center at 12:30 p.m. and will showcase what Standardbreds can do after their racing careers. Riders will demonstrate the saddleseat, trail, costume, sidesaddle, dressage, gaited Western, Western parade, English pleasure and HUS disciplines. Following the demonstrations, riders will be available to talk about the Standardbred breed and opportunities for adoption.
