Harrington, DE – William Roberts’ Starship ($25, Art Stafford Jr.) was an upset winner in the $20,000 Open Monday at Harrington Raceway in 1:51.4.

The 5-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding was a first-over winner over Thornbush Hanover and Sprocket. Trained by owner Roberts, it was the seventh win of the year for Starship, who has banked $55,165 this year. Starship battled pacesetter Sprocket to the three-quarters before the latter yielded in mid-stretch. Starship recorded his second straight win after a blowout win on May 29 at Ocean Downs (Md.).

Later on the card, Wade Wyatt and Christine Crissman-Bier’s Machaholic ($2.80, Art Stafford Jr.) notched his third straight win in 1:54.2.

Tony Morgan had three wins on the card. Pat Berry and Art Stafford Jr. each had a double.
