Summer Charm shoots sloppy lightning lane, wins Meadows feature

Washington, PA – Summer Charm knifed through the sloppy Lightning Lane to capture Wednesday’s (Oct. 11) feature at The Meadows, a $12,000 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Sent off the 7-5 second choice, Summer Charm zipped to the early lead for Tony Hall but released Sansovina Hanover at the quarter in favor of the pocket. That decision paid off late as Summer Charm had pace aplenty to defeat the first-over Diamondtequilashot by a length in 1:51.4. Sansovina Hanover saved show.
