Lucan, ON — Blue Chip Farms, LLC and Seelster Farms, as co-managers of the stallion, are pleased to announce that Battle of the Brandywine winner and world champion Sunshine Beach p,2,1:52.1s; 3,1:47.4f–’13 ($971,037) will be standing at Seelster’s Lucan, Ontario farm starting with the 2015 breeding season.

A son of Somebeachsomewhere, Sunshine Beach is from the Artsplace mare Light Up, making him the half brother to Warrawee Flare p,1:50.3s ($524,095), Safe Harbor p,1:50.1f–’14 ($468,335) and Western Moonlight p,2,1:52.3 ($366,091).

Sunshine Beach is owned by Hudson Standardbred Stable Inc. (Tony Infilise), Conrad Leber, Diane Bertrand Holdings Ltd. and Blue Chip Bloodstock Inc.

Trained throughout his career by Mark Stacey, as a sophomore Sunshine Beach captured the $500,000 Battle of the Brandywine Stake final at Pocono Downs, ending Captaintreacherous‘ undefeated 3-year-old season, in a world record-equaling time of 1:47.4.

Sunshine Beach also paced to victory in the final of the $284,160 Progress Pace at Dover Downs, a division of the Bluegrass Stakes at The Red Mile, an elimination of the Meadowlands Pace and an elimination of the Matron Stake at Dover Downs during his sophomore campaign.
