Delray Beach, FL –– The management of Sunshine Meadows Equestrian Village and OnGait.com has announced that they will have an internet online harness racing mixed horse sale on Tuesday, April 7.

The online bidding begins on Monday, April 6 at 12 noon and will close on Tuesday, April 7 at around 3 P.M.

In addition, there will be a special live broadcast starting at 2:30 pm Tuesday from the track kitchen at Sunshine Meadows where horsemen and women will talk about the various top horses in the sale plus video and bidding commentary and some of the key horses will also be sold live with the hammer dropping on the final bids.

The sale is officially named Sunshine Meadows OnGait.com Mixed Sale.

Horsemen and women can enter any registered Standardbred for a $100 application/setup fee that includes pedigree, comments and any video that is available. There is a 3% commission fee charged if the horse meets the reserve bid price that is set by the seller.

Prospective buyers will be able to see the location of the horse for onsite inspection and many of the horses being entered are already stabled at Sunshine Meadows Equestrian Village.

“We feel this will be a great opportunity for people in the industry to sell and buy horses,” said OnGait.com manager Maurice Chodash. “The one-hour live broadcast/live auction as the bidding ends is a great concept and will help draw interest to the sale. Our last sale saw some strong numbers for the horses as more and more people are tuned into the internet and enjoy the ease of bidding right from their homes.”

The sale is open to registered Standardbred race horses, 2-year-olds in training, yearlings, weanlings, stallions, broodmares and stallion breedings/shares.

“This should be a great event at Sunshine Meadows,” said General Manager Brandon Mills. “A number of horses in the sale are here on the farm already so prospective owners are invited to come out and see them and check out our facility.”
