Supplemental entry turns in fastest time of three Lynch eliminations

Just Wait Kate, whose owners Jules J. and Arlene Siegel of New Hope, Pa., paid a $15,000 starting and supplemental fee, turned in the fastest time of the three James M. Lynch Memorial Pace elimination races Saturday night (June 11) at Pocono Downs. Trained by Travis Alexander and driven by Ray Paver, the three-year-old Real Artist filly stopped the timer in 1:52.4. Just Wait Kate, who earned more than $111,799 last season, is now two-for-two in 2005.

Second in this elimination race was Sub Rosa Hanover (W. Mike Wilder) with Up Front Norma (George Napolitano, Jr.) third.

Marnie Hall, trained by Mark Harder and driven by Stephane Bouchard, won the opening Lynch elimination pace with a time of 1:53. This three-year-old Blissful Hall filly was winning for the fourth time this season with one second and a third.

Daniel Plouffe and Yves Sarrazin of Quebec, also paid the $15,000 starting and supplemental fee to enter the Lynch, as did AllAmerican Coed, owned by J. Fielding, CanAmerican Capital Corporation, J. Silva and Sampson Street Stable.

AllAmerican Coed was second to Marnie Hall with third going to Dontsqueezethebaby (Mike Simons).
Born Storytelller, a longshot driven by Tom Jackson and trained by Carmine Fusco, captured the other elimination race with a time of 1:53.3. This was the first win in three tries for Born Storyteller, owned by Ronald J. Mario of Longboat Key, Fla.

Second to Born Storyteller was Make Me Money (Bouchard) with Hank’s Girl (Jim Taggart, Jr.) third.
Top three horses in each of the divisions will now move on to the $159,740 finals on Saturday (June 18).
